Day One

Day One

Nicole describes her feelings about coming to Master Gorino’s.

I didn’t expect it to be fun on the very first day, you know? Tae Kwon-Do sounded like a lot of hard work and I was nervous.

My husband was the one who really wanted to do martial arts. He was so excited. For a long time he looked it up on the internet and did research. Every couple months he was like, “Let’s go try Tae Kwon-Do.” But I resisted.

Finally, one day he just signed us up. I’m so glad he did.

Day One blew my mind.

We arrived to the first class with the other beginners and we all stood there in our normal gym clothes. We weren’t even in any uniforms, and yet immediately there were these friendships and bonds with people we’ve never even met, as if we all were already connected in some way with one another. Like we’re all in this together. Everyone was so welcoming and I just felt like I fit in. It was a really great atmosphere.

Can you imagine liking something so much on Day One?

It’s family friendly for any age. My mother in-law is now doing it. We’ve signed our daughter up to start in a couple of weeks. It’s been the best thing I’ve ever done. Seriously. It’s really cool I get to do this with my husband. I’m so happy he pushed it so hard and wanted to do it.

Definitely try it, because if you think Day One is fun, just you wait until Day Two!
