On February 19th, Master Gorino’s Pil-Sung Tae Kwon-Do will be holding its 15th Annual School Banquet and Award Ceremony. This is a yearly event that is enjoyed by students and families alike. It may be one of the most popular events at our dojang. The banquet not only celebrates our wonderful martial art but also brings us together as one big family.
The event includes a cocktail hour (soft drinks for the kids) followed by a fantastic demonstration by G-Force (our school’s demo team). Then there is a delicious dinner including many wonderful selections and a carving table. At dessert time, awards are given to ALL students in attendance for being part of Master Gorino’s dojang. In addition, those students who were involved in the 2010 East Coast Championship Season will be presented with their season awards. This is followed by dancing and sharing of stories for the year.
This event has grown yearly. Last year there were just under 300 people in attendance. At the writing of this article there are currently 125+ reservations. Take advantage of the “Early Bird” specials and reserve now. The banquet usually is sold out before the final deadline so please reserve as soon as you know you can attend. We had to turn away many people last year as we ran out of room. Remember, students, family members and friends are all invited to attend.
It is always an evening to remember. There are not many times that you get to see everybody at one event. It is a time to meet new faces and to enjoy each other’s company. It is a fantastic way to see G-Force and to have a wonderful meal with your “extended” family. The event is semi-formal so dress up and have a ball! We look forward to seeing you there. Pil-Sung!
