Master Gorino and his students will present a “Promotion Celebration” on Saturday June 29th. This will be an awesome demonstration based on the two tests Master Gorino took to be awarded his 7th Degree Black Belt. In April, Master Gorino was awarded his 7th Dan by Grandmaster Jong Soo Park. In May he received his 7th Dan from the Examining Board of the P.M.A.E.A. (Professional Martial Arts Educators Association) These tests were basically closed to the public, with only a handful of SaBum-Nim’s high ranking Black Belts on hand to observe and assist. Master Gorino decided to put on a demonstration based on those two awesome experiences to allow his students and families to see what took place. Additionally, Sa-Bum-Nim Gorino decided to include some of his students in this demonstration. Master Gorino says, “Without my students I am not a SaBum-Nim. Without them I don’t even have a school. It only makes sense to include some of them in the demonstration.”
The event will take place at St. Leo the Great’s gymnasium on Sweet Home Rd. (near Maple) on Sat. June 29th at noon. All Dojang members, families and friends are encouraged to attend. It is free and open to the public. However Master Gorino requests that a $5 per person donation be made at the door to benefit the Wounded Warriors. ALL donations will go directly to the Wounded Warriors. (Donation not required to attend)
