On October 8th, we will host an in-house martial arts tournament. It is open to all students from White Belt to Black Belt. There are beginner divisions for those who have never been in an event like this. There are also intermediate and advanced divisions for students with various levels of experience.
This particular event is our “Karate Theme” tournament and is one of the students’ favorites. It provides our students the chance to experience what it would be like to participate in an “open” or Karate competition. It is safe, fun, exciting and educational. Many people get the wrong impression of what tournaments are like because of movies and even poorly run events. This is a “learning’ tournament and is very user-friendly.
See posters for details and ask any staff member how to sign up. Master Gorino always says there is a wealth of knowledge and experience to be gained by participating. Spectators are welcome to enjoy this event free of charge.
