Jack’s Mom Shares Her Thoughts
This week, Jack’s mom shares her thoughts on Tae Kwon-Do and her son.

Why did you choose Master Gorino’s Tae Kwon-Do?

We started our youngest son, Jack, in Tae Kwon-Do last January after the success our older son, Max, has had with Master Gorino over the past ten years.

For a long time I did not want Jack to do the same thing as Max. I wanted them too do separate things. Tae Kwon-Do was something my older son was extremely good at and I thought that it would be a bad thing for Jack to be doing the same thing as his older brother.

“But after Jack was bullied at school, I wanted him to have confidence and feel like he belonged somewhere.I knew Master Gorino’s curriculum would be perfect for someone like Jack.”

What do you love most about Master Gorino’s school?

The instructors here are very caring. It’s like a family and they take care of each other. And for Jack, he may not be able to articulate it, but that’s what he feels.

Jack has speech and motor skill problems. He’s in occupational therapy, speech therapy, and he’s not a visual learner.

“Master Gorino was very welcoming.”

He knew I was worried about Jack and was extremely helpful.

Have you seen improvements in Jack since beginning Tae Kwon-Do?

The martial arts environment has tremendously improved Jack’s coordination and his ability to learn. It was the best decision I could have ever made for Jack.

“He’s now a more confident child and cannot wait to go to class.”

He says, “I get to go today. I get to go.” It’s crazy how much he loves it. To Jack, Tae Kwon-Do is a gift and he thanks me every day for it.

It’s unbelievable how Tae Kwon-Do reaches such a variety of learners. It’s the perfect program for both of our sons, and that’s what I love about it.

Master Gorino’s Tae Kwon-Do offers a trial program for individuals and families in Buffalo, NY and the surrounding areas that allows you to get a feel for the different classes, meet our instructors, and experience our dojang. It’s a great way to see if Tae Kwon-Do is right for you. To learn more or to sign up, register online or call (716) 836-KICK (5425) and a member of our team will follow up with you on next steps.
